Banchory Beer Festival has always tried to bring festival goers the best street food vendors that our local area and Scotland has to offer. We are firm believers that if you are enjoying great beers, ciders, rums, gins and prosecco you should enjoy equally as tasty food. We’ve experimented over the years with lots of vendors as we like to keep things fresh for you, the festival goer. For our fifth year we’ve hand picked three very unique vendors along with an award-winning ice cream vendor for the Sunday for the family day... Portsoy Ice Cream!
I know the famous saying is that beer goes great with curry? Doesn’t it? Well we are delighted to have Aberdeen’s own and award-winning curry house Shri Bheema’s coming to the festival this summer. Bala and his team take great pride in serving up the freshest of Southern & Northern Indian cuisine, which shows after starting in Aberdeen in 2012 to now having 6 award winning restaurants in 4 different cities. The team will have lots of variations on offer including a range of starters and main courses, and to fit all spice lover’s levels and vegetarians. We look forward to welcoming them to the festival on the 10th, 11th and 12th of August!
Burgers…. No festival is complete without a burger vendor. But this year we aren’t bringing you any ordinary burger vendor as we’ve got Screaming Peacock coming. One of Fife’s newest street food vendors serving up fresh handmade Venison, Pheasant burgers and their newest menu items their very own vegetarian burger. Sourcing their ingredients from the Highlands and hand making their burgers in Fife, these are guaranteed to be mouth-watering!
As we always like to keep things local we’ve also got Pizza Geek’s coming to serve up some unbelievable wood fired pizzas. Co-Founded by Patrick Ward who was brought up in Banchory, he’s been making a significant impact on the street food scene along with co-founder Finlay Clarkson all around Scotland. They are currently running a campaign “Pizza for the People” which is helping Edinburgh’s homeless and vulnerable and to date have donated 637 pizzas! Read more about their campaign here - https://www.pizzageeks.co.uk/pizzaforthepeople . We can’t wait till they throw the logs into that wood burner during our festival to feed you all wood fired pizzas from their epic menu, including a vast choice for both vegetrians and meat lovers!
